Once upon a time I participated a calligraphy class. I marveled at the instructor’s controlled strokes that grew into letters and words. I practiced throughout the class but not enough to be good at the art of beautiful lettering. After years of playing the piano, I knew the importance of repetition, but I never spent enough time practicing to become a decent calligrapher. When I discovered art journaling I decided to use words on my pages even if they were just my own handwriting. I didn’t need to be a calligrapher to be ok at art journaling.
As for me, I’ll just keep on writing.
